What is a Health Champion?
A health champion is someone who promotes healthy lifestyles and helps others make positive changes to their health. Health champions can be community volunteers, employees, or individuals who may or may not work in healthcare.
Why become a Health Champion?
Because you would become a trusted voice in the community that is an ESSENTIAL partner in promoting health equity, engaging and educating diverse and underserved populations as well as connecting them to social determinants of health needs and health care. SHC programs engage churches, barbers and hair stylists in these activities.
